Located in one of the superbly restored buildings of the former Tredegar Iron Works, the 10,000-square-foot visitor center exhibits tell the dramatic story of the Civil War. Visitors are also guided to numerous Richmond Civil War sites and to surrounding battlefields that saw some of the war's most critical campaigns. A canal walk complements the visitor center experience.
